GTA Online's August 13-19, 2026 update is a good week to make cash without relying on expensive businesses or a well-organised crew. The new Brand Wars Event brings strong bonuses to activities that are easy to join, and even newer players can get started with little preparation. If you're building up your GTA 5 Accounts funds, focus on short races, Community Series jobs and free-roam cargo work rather than wasting time on low-paying missions.
Hotring races are the quickest payday
Hotring Circuit Races are paying 4x GTA$ and 4x RP this week, which makes them the standout option for players who want fast results. Rockstar-created Hotring events usually take only a few minutes, so you can fit several into a short session. Third place in a four-minute race can bring in more than $50,000, while a win may push past $100,000. You don't even need to buy a car first. The Declasse Hotring Sabre is free at Southern San Andreas Super Autos, and you can tune it later at a vehicle workshop. Pick a busy lobby or invite a few friends, then keep replaying the shortest available races.
Community Series jobs reward steady players
Community Series activities are offering 3x GTA$ and 3x RP, and they're worth checking when you want a change from racing. You can launch them through the main menu or use the corona at Legion Square. One job that stands out is Maze Bank Melee by aleeenur. It turns the top of Maze Bank into a compact Team Deathmatch arena, so fights start quickly and there's not much downtime between engagements. A second-place finish can pay over $82,000, while first place can approach $120, depending on the job's final payout.
Use free-roam events to build extra value
Freemode Challenges and Events are also boosted to 4x GTA$ and 4x RP. They're useful when you don't want to sit in a matchmaking screen, especially if you're already moving between businesses. Keep these practical points in mind.
Claim the free Hotring Sabre before spending money on another race car.
Choose shorter races when your main goal is cash per hour.
Watch the map for Business Battle alerts and join as soon as one appears.
Complete three Business Battles before the reset to claim the weekly reward.
Business Battles add a valuable weekly bonus
Business Battles appear during free roam and ask you to steal cargo from a warehouse or a marked vehicle, then deliver it to your Nightclub warehouse. The deliveries help build future passive income, while the event itself benefits from this week's bonuses. Completing three of them unlocks GTA$250,000 and the Impotent Rage Sweatsuit. It can be annoying when other players interfere, so invite friends if possible, use a fast armoured vehicle, and avoid taking the most obvious route back to your Nightclub. Players who'd rather skip the early grind can also buy GTA 5 Accounts and put their time into the boosted activities instead.
